Susan grew up in an area nearby to Vanderlande. She has lived in this area her whole life and earned a Bachelors Degree in Management, Economics and Law at a local university. She has previously worked in the HR department of several other companies and has been working at Vanderlande for 6 months.

She decided to apply for a job at the company because her friend told her about the positive working environment and the amazing opportunities that are available, for example one of her best friends in now working in America. Since starting this job she has discovered that this was true; she loves how open and helpful all the staff are and how Vanderlande really gives you the chance to “develop yourself”.

Susan also mentioned that she appreciates everyone’s passion for the work they are doing in particular the technical engineers seem to have a lot of ambition in their field. Vandelande offers a variety of opportunities for travelling. For example, 50% of the work a PLC engineer does is done abroad. Susan said that “if you want an international career, Vanderlande gives you that opportunity.” Therefore, it is clear that the company works on a global scale, despite this Susan said that she feels like there is a close-knit working community. This is ultimately why she believes that she will stay within Vanderlande.
