About Vanderlande
- History
Vanderlande was founded by Eddie van der Lande in 1949 and originated in the Dutch town of Veghel. The founding family initially modernized and later produced machines for the textile industry. Afterwards they started manufacturing machines for transporting goods such as hoisting apparatus and conveyor belts.
In 1963 Vanderlande went into a partnership with the American company Rapistan Incorporated, which influenced the development of the company favourably. They invented customised transport systems that enabled them to be successfully active all over the world. Due to the fact that in 1988 the current owner NPM Capital purchased the majority of the company’s shares, Vanderlande was able to operate globally afterwards.
Vanderlande is currently doing business worldwide and has 260 projects in 105 countries. The company has developed a lot, nowadays it is one of the main international companies in the fields of sorting systems for parcel services and automated material handling solutions for airports and warehouses.
